Derek Steveson, PT, DPT

derek stevesonDerek is the inventor, founder and owner of The CoreStick™ and also owns The Functional Performance Center, a physical therapy office in Tempe, AZ. Through more than 11 years of physical therapy practice, attending professional seminars, and through his own teachings he came up with the idea of the CoreStick as a tool that enhances human motion and improves functional capacity. His understanding of the importance of core function was paramount in the development of the CoreStick. He teamed up with respected product inventor and manufacturing director, Mark Lashinske to develop this product. Notably, his office served as the Official Rehabilitation Consultant for the AZ Diamondbacks from 2001-2007. He specializes in foot and ankle biomechanics and remarkably, has prescribed more than 5,000 pairs of custom orthotics.

Derek received his Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1996. He served as a facilitator for the Gray Institute of Functional Transformation Fellowship Program in 2007 and continues to be involved with various lectures and programs through the Gray Institute.
